Castell'Alfero is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) east of Turin and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Asti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,736 and an area of 20.0 square kilometres (7.7 sq mi). The municipality of Castell'Alfero contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Callianetto, Stazione, Casotto, Serra Perno, Noveiva, Moncucco, and Bricco Beretta. Castell'Alfero borders the following municipalities: Asti, Calliano, Corsione, Cossombrato, Frinco, Tonco, and Villa San Secondo.
