Borgo di Corniglia (Sito UNESCO Cinque Terre)

Where corniglia, Vernazza (La Spezia)

The village, part of Vernazza, is one of the localities that make up Cinque Terre. The entire town develops along the main street, Via Fieschi, which leads from the Church of St. Peter to the belvedere of the Terrace of Santa Maria. Directly under the square of the church you can find, on the facade of a house, some remnants of medieval architecture, including some small sculptures. In the center of Largo Taragio, the Monument to Fallen and the little church of Santa Caterina, beyond which the Tower is recognizable, the only ruin remaining of the sixteenth-century Genoese fortifications. On the side of Marina of Corniglia, you can see the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces in San Bernardino; on the slope, Guvàno beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of the coast of Cinque Terre.
