Val d'Orcia is a large Tuscan valley in the province of Siena, on the border with Umbria. The valley is characterized by pleasant landscapes and various centers of Medieval origin, two of which are very well known, such as Pienza and Montalcino. Among naturalistic, cultural and enogastronomic protected features, which are valid for Val d'Orcia the inclusion in UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 2004: characteristic cypresses in the rows redesigned in Renaissance period; among culinary excellences, Pici, Cinta Senese salami, Pecorino di Pienza, olive oil and Brunello di Montalcino DOC. Val d'Orcia is a territory of great tourist interest.
