Borgo di Manarola (Sito UNESCO Cinque Terre)

Where manarola, Riomaggiore (La Spezia)

Ancient hamlet of Ligurian Riviera, is a fraction of the municipality of Riomaggiore, in the province of La Spezia, and constitutes one of Cinque Terre. Upstream of the town you will find the main square, around which the Oratorio delle Disciplinanti, Campanaria Tower and the Church of San Lorenzo arise, built in Romanesque style in 1338, characterized by marvelous Carrara marble rosette of 1375. The Castle, once defensive bulwark against Saracen pirates raids, has been transformed into a private home but is still recognizable by its rounded stone structure. In panoramic position is Punta Bonfiglio, where the walkway connects the marina to Palaedo.
