Where Langhe, Sommariva Perno (Cuneo)

Langhe is historical region of Piedmont located between the provinces of Cuneo and Asti, bordering the other two historical regions of Piedmont, Monferrato and Roero. This area is distinguished for its renowned wine production: famous throughout the world are red wines like Barbera and Barolo. Equally famous is White Truffle of Alba, for which is held annually in the town by a specially dedicated trade show that attracts hundreds of visitors from abroad. Wherever it is cultivates Hazelnut of Langhe, made famous by products of "Ferrero" company from Alba. There are also many DOP cheeses, first of all Robiola of Roccaverano. Thanks to these excellent products and the charm of its villages distributed among the vineyards and embellished by the castles, the area is famous for food and wine tourism destination and artistic-cultural factor that has allowed Langhe to become part of World Heritage UNESCO sites.
