Burano is located on four islands of the Venice Lagoon and is connected by a bridge to the Island of Mazzorbo. The town is known for its typical brightly colored houses, whose origin is unknown, and for the centuries-old craftsmanship of Burano lace. The first homes were placed on stilts, only starting from the Mille were built brick houses. The heart of the town is Baldassare Galuppi Square, it realized burying a channel, on which stands the only church of the island, St. Martin. Sweet typical of Burano is the "bussolà", cookie donut.
