It is the only monastery of cloistered currently present in Urbino. It is on top of the Poggio Hill. The Monastery was built in the first half of the fourteenth century and, in the second half of the sixteenth century, took on the extension today through the acquisition of the adjacent Thiene palace. The main portal dates from the seventeenth century. The Church, with a rectangular single nave covered by a barrel vault, has three altars and is the result of the restructuring of the eighteenth century. The most significant work of art is a bas-relief in gilded plaster, on the main altar, by the sculptor Federico Brandani, realized in the second half of the sixteenth century, representing the "Martyrdom of Saint Catherine".
