Palazzo Montefeltro-Bonaventura

Where Via San Girolamo, Urbino (Pesaro e Urbino)

It is standing on top of the Poggio hill. The first evidence about the existence of the building date back to the fourteenth century when it was inhabited by a branch of the Montefeltro family, until the second half of the fifteenth century. Then, it was traded to the Bonaventura family, who advanced it and set in its present form. In the first half of the seventeenth century was designed by architect Muzio Oddi an elevated walkway, built to allow the family to go to church without leaving the building. The building will be purchased by the University in the first half of the nineteenth century and subjected to radical internal restructuring cured by engineer Mariano Menini. The last intervention was implemented in the '50s, designed by architect Giancarlo De Carlo.
