The Civic Museum of the Risorgimento and Shrine Oberdan, housed on the first floor of the House of the Fighter, preserves documents, photographs, uniforms, memorabilia, decorations and paintings to the facts and figures of the Risorgimento, the riots of 1848 to the First World War, with particular reference of Trieste and Julian area. It's divided into six rooms: "The origins and '48"; "Garibaldi and Mazzini with Garibaldini from Giulia and Trieste"; "Oberdan and preparation for surgery"; "Volunteers"; "The gold medals" and "Trieste and the Redemption". Outside there is the Shrine, dedicated to the memory of the patriot Guglielmo Oberdan from Trieste, with the prison cell and the monumental statue by Attilio Selva.
