The archaeological site of Broglio of Trebisacce is a Proto-historic village inhabited for about 1000 years by the Enotri people, according to ancient sources, the oldest in Italy. With the arrival of the Greeks and the foundation of Sybaris (720-710 BC), the site of Broglio ending its attendance. The Enotri have had extensive business contacts and therefore also with the Mycenaean cultural, as evidenced by the archaeological finds unearthed during the excavations. The research started in 1978 and since then continue without interruption and with the same enthusiasm on the part of the University of Rome La Sapienza.
