Doria Pamphilj Villa, with its 184 hectares in size, is one of the largest and important parks of Rome. It originates from the country estate of noblie Roman family. It is also official representative home of the Italian Government. Designed by sculptor Alessandro Algardi and the painter Giovanni Francesco Grimaldi in the early seventeenth century, is one of the best preserved Villas in the city. Currently it is divided into three areas: the Palace and Gardens (pars urbana), the pine forest (pars fructuaria), and the farm (pars rustica).
