The Museum was founded in 1903. The first stone of the building of the museum was laid June 3, 1922 in the presence of King Vittorio Emanuele III. On June 3, 1924 (265th year of the establishment of the Body), the Museum was inaugurated in the presence of the rulers of the House of Savoy. 

In the museum you can visit in 15 exhibition halls: 

- Weapons of Italian and foreign various ages. 

- Photographs dating back to the Great War. 

- Motivations of Gold Medals of Military Valour. 

- Plans of the places where the various departments of the Grenadiers fought. 

- Flags and personal objects from private donations. 

- The Shrine of Grenadiers with the inscription of the names of more than 8,500 Grenadiers fallen in all wars. 

- A statue depicting the meeting to Theano between Giuseppe Garibaldi and King Vittorio Emanuele II. 

- A bust of Duke Carlo Emanuele II (1659). 

- Pictures of the historic battles of Goito, Custoza, Mola di Gaeta, and Perugia.
