It built on the ruins of the Constantine Thermae, on the southern slopes of the Quirinale. The building, finished building in 1737 under the direction of Ferdinand Fuga, was commissioned by Pope Clement XII for him to host the secretariat of the Holy Congregazio and Consulta. Since 1955 is the seat of the Constitutional Court. The building has two floors. at first, the windows have triangular pediments, the second circular. The central portal is bordered by an order of two columns on which rests a curved tympanum with statues of Justice and Religion, by the sculptor Francesco Maini. On either side there are doors of military trophies, relative to that of the Cavalry and Armour, by sculptor filippo Valle. The decoration of the interior has undergone various phases: the first decoration, work by painters and Domenico Antonio Bicchierai Piastrini, has been almost completely lost, subject only some allegorical figures in the vaults of the rooms of the Apartments of the Cardinals, including worthy of mention is "The Magnificence" in Living Green. In 1787, Bernardino Nocchi realized decorations related to the myth of Proserpina, in the Pompeian Hall, and the time of the Study of Judges, depicting the "Charity with the four cardinal virtues."
