Cattedrale dei Santi Pietro e Paolo (Duomo di Pitigliano)

Where Piazza San Gregorio VII, 87, Pitigliano (Grosseto)

The facade is tripartite by four large slopes. At the sides of the sixteenth-century travertine portal, topped by eighteenth-century stuccos depicting the Cherubs that support the cross, there are two niches also decorated with stucco. On the left side of the Cathedral is the bell tower, originally used for civil and military activities. Original structure provided only two orders (as evidenced by the town's coat of arms of the town of Pitigliano), to which a third entrusted to Medici family era, the bell tower as a tower. The interior dates back to 1509, although the actual appearance of it is the one conferred on it in the 18th century when lateral chapels were added, Baroque main altar and the set of architectural elements and decorations.
