The museum is located at the Institute of Geology of the University and boasts some remarkable collections of scientific value to reconstruct the paleoenvironmental history of the area. There are, among others, the remains of fossil cetaceans, partial and complete skeletons from the floods villafranchiane Mount Yoke and from the valley. Also included in the museum's collection Strobel materials, with important remains of Earthsea Italian and other countries. On display are also series of chipped flint stones, rocks and Pliocene fossils.
