Galleria d’Arte Moderna – Complesso Monumentale Sant’Anna

Established in 1910, Gallery is located in monumental complex of Saint Anne, exhibition area of great beauty designed by architect Corrado Anselmi. Gallery houses, on three levels, two hundred and fourteen works, hundred seventy-six paintings and thirty-eight sculptures. On the ground floor, there are works belonging to Neoclassicism and Romanticism, inspired by classical mythology, celebration of Garibaldi and paintings by Francesco Lojacono. On the first floor there are works of Realism and masterpieces of nineteenth and twentieth century, including some paintings by Leto, Bergler and Catti. The second floor, finally, is devoted to Italian and Sicilian symbolism and modernism.
