Villa Floridiana

Where via Cimarosa, 77 / via Aniello Falcone, Napoli

The Floridiana park covering approximately eight acres located on the hill of Vomero enchanting panoramic position in the entire Gulf, owes its name to the Duchess of Floridia, Lucia Migliaccio, morganatic wife of King Ferdinand I of Bourbon. Bought between 1815 and 1817, was intended as a summer residence of the Duchess. To treat the renovations was the architect Antonio Niccolini that, between 1817 and 1819, he designed the renovation is in neoclassical style of the existing building that the reconfiguration of the park. 

After the death of Lucy, in 1826, the buildings and the park underwent numerous transformations to the heirs until 1919, when they were purchased by the State becoming the seat of the Museum of Martina. Some areas of the Villa and the Park can be given in concession for the construction of temporary events.
