Museo d'arte e scienza

Where Via Quintino Sella, 4, Milano

The Museum is named after Gottfried Matthaes (Bielatal 1920 - Milan 2010), inventor of the first printed circuit (CHIP), who inherited the important family collection of greek-Roman and Etruscan antiquity. In 1990, Matthaes decides to focus on the theme of "false art" and he founds, in Milan, the "Educational Museum for the Assessment of the False in Antiques". Over the years, the Museum has been enriched by welcoming permanent exhibitions on the art of non-European and Leonardo Da Vinci, becoming the actual "Museum of Art and Science", organized in four sections: "Buddhist Art", "African Art","Leonardo Da Vinci" and "Recognition Authenticity". Since 2010, the founder's sons have created a special Association that carries out innovative projects for the preservation of artistic heritage, organizes courses, events and educational activities.
