The Military Geographical Institute Museum houses a rich collection of tools of geodesy, astronomy, physics and topography. The number of exhibits amounts to over 400 units. The core of the collection is the instrumentation built before 1861 . Later with the establishment of the Military Geographic Institute, the collection has expanded, often with instruments designed and built by internal staff at the mechanical workshop of the institute itself. Even today, the Museum is enriched with all the tools of areas of concern, as the same becomes technologically obsolete.
