Palazzo Sersale

Sersale Palace is an old building, the most representative of the old town of Cosenza, said as "Noevole Public Interest" and Monumental Importance. Delimits, together with Rendano Theatre and the Palace of the Prefecture, XV Marzo Square. The construction comes from an original nucleus dating from the late fifteenth century, quadrangular and symmetrical to the entrance and courtyard, which was added in the following century the entire south wing. The Palace, which belonged to the families Spirits and  Sersale, has a facade decorated with pilasters and stand in drafts. The beautiful portal, arch, is surmounted by the Sersale crest carved in relief on a blue marble slab, bearing the date of construction of the building (1592). The entrance hall, flanked by stone seats, has a vaulted ceiling, which is painted on a second coat of arms.
