It was built between 1704 and 1713 and dedicated to Saint Benedict of Norcia. The Church is famous for Angel's Staircase, marble staircase entrance adorned with statues and surrounded by beautiful wrought iron gate. The front door is made in wood with panels that show scenes of St. Benedict's life. Inside are frescoes by Sebastiano Lo Monaco, Giovanni Tuccari and Matteo Desiderato. The Church has a single nave decorated by frescoes depicting scenes of St. Benedict's life. The most precious piece is the altar made of polychrome marble inlaid with semiprecious stones and bronze panels. The Church can be visited as part of a guided tour that includes the remains of a Roman domus discovered during recent restoration work.
