The National Museum of Photography in Brescia is dedicated to the history of photography and film. The chronological path exhibits cameras and film from the early prototypes until today. The Museum consists of four main sections: "Hall of Cinema", narrates the evolution of the amateur film by the use of the first light (Pathé Baby, 1921) to the most sophisticated Japanese cameras; "Showcases of the History of Photography", with original historical pieces (daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, etc.), including rare and miniature sheets of the Lumière brothers; "Hall of Cameras", a collection of the best manufacturers from the nineteenth century to 3D; and finally, the "Hall of Photographic Technique", which exposes the highlight of the Museum, the Zeiss Ikon fotomitragliatrice, 1930. The Museum organizes temporary exhibitions and has a library of 8.000 volumes.
