The Museum is due to the initiative of the artist Diego Pierpaolo, resident in Arquata del Tronto in 1996, which became his home, Villa Papi, and the surrounding land in a Museum-Park which displays many works of painting, sculpture, drawings and installations. Villa Papi is also known as the site of poetic and musical events, including: "Fonofigurazione", "Music For litteras", "Music For figuram", "Poetry City", "Designed Representation", "Landscape sculpture in the round" and "Roman-Theatre".
