Cotronei

Cotronei is located on the north-eastern side of Sila Piccola. This territory includes a number of fractions including Trepidò, Villaggio Belcastro and Palumbo Village. The latter, located on the shores of Lake Ampollino, is one of the largest ski resorts in Calabria. Palumbo Sila (Villaggio Palumbo) has modern ski lifts that serve a total of 20 km of track with the possibility of artificial snow and night lighting. Also this resort is also equipped to practice summer skiing through the use of a synthetic track about 123 m long and to complement the summer tourist offer there are in the area other structures such as an artificial bob track one kilometer long and the ice rink for skating and hochey on ice.
